Bustard Downs is a 220acre cattle property offering private self-contained accommodation at the Farmhouse and Farm Cottage, both original tobacco farm house’s set above the Mary Creek within our 5 acre Mary Creek Caravan & Camping ground.
Bed and Breakfast at our Farmstay Guesthouse set within the family home gardens includes exclusive use of our 20meter fresh water swimming pool. Receive a friendly warm welcome and personal insight into our bio-dynamic/organic tropical food garden, dog, chooks and small herd of Brahman cows. Depending on the time of year you visit you can see cattle up close when we are feeding in the yards.
Birdwatchers from all over the world enjoy the biodiversity of wet and dry land species seen on Bustard Downs. A comprehensive bird list, 160 species, helpful hints on viewing the Australian Bustard and self-guided walking maps are provided. Explore a gallery forest of giant Melaleucas along 1km of private creek frontage, take a refreshing dip with no Crocodiles. See Agile Wallabies, in the early mornings and late afternoons.
